Ride with a new group-SCRC
This is my first ride with SCRC-Southern Cruisers Ride Club Orange county Chapter. I have been receiving e-mails from "Buzz" Greg Savage first officer for the Orange chapter and the ride to Tom's Farm off the 15 Freeway and Temescal Canyon sounded like a simple way to get acquainted. I rode over to the 91 Fwy and Green River Exit and met several members including Cruzer and Concho and others. All had a cruiser of one sort or another and Concho was riding a Honda VTX converted to a side-car rig. One was on a M109 Suzuki. I did not bring a camera but was able to lift some pictures from a couple of the members that posted online.
We arrive at the Farm and meet up with more Orange County members that came over Ortega Hwy.
Members from chapters in Antelope Valley, San Diego, and Ventura also were in attendance.
The meeting at Tom's Farm was to recognize a member, Michael "Slacker" Spear, badly hurt in an accident some time ago and he was able to make it after a long recovery. He did not ride but came by car.
Lot's of vests, patches, beards, leather and cruisers of all kinds.
