  Back to the Ortega Highway!
This is Lake Elsinore from our one stop on the road.

Ortega Highway, route 74 from San Juan Capistrano to Lake Elsinore. I had been on this road with my original Yamaha 650 V-Star both ways and survived but not very confident about my skill at that time. This time on the Road Star did much better was was able to keep up for the most part. Still in some of the turns I slowed down more than the others due to riding into shadows from the sunlight, I have a hard time adjusting for the change in brightness.
This was a group including Stan from Chapter 230 and his wife, our leader on the Honda Goldwing with his wife on a V-Star 1300 and one other rider. I have got to do better on names and taking more pictures.

That's me in the yellow jacket, it's a rain jacket but wearing it over my mesh jacket kept me nice and warm in the chilly hills.
From our turnout stop looking down the road past a place called the Lookout
That's the leader and looking back to where we came from.

We went on to Temescal Road and Tom's Farms via the back roads instead of going on the 15 Freeway.

My first lesson was 11/04 took MSF class in Fullerton and away I went. This is my 4th motorcycle if you can believe that. So far I put 26,500 miles on the Road Star since I bought it 09/27/07, The ODO shows 28,300 total miles. If you have a Google ID you can leave a comment but it will be reviewed first ...
