THE CHROME REPORT
Too much chrome is never enough. Yes it's true I am becoming a chromaholic and the cure is relatively simple but slightly expensive. It's all about adding chrome accessories and parts also known as "farkle" to the motorcycle. Here are the latest additions to the Road Star. All are Yamaha parts so far.
New luggage rack. bought it on E-Bay but should have used South Seattle Yamaha our regular supplier. This helps hold the Sissy bar luggage up and keeps it from scrapping the fender.
Rear brake fluid reservoir, now chrome.
Decompression lever cover. Replaced the painted cover with a chrome cover. It's the little cover to the left of the word
Yamaha.
Ignition key chrome ring, at the right on top of the speedometer. No more black rubber ring around the ignition key area, now it's chrome.
Chrome Mufflers. They have always been chrome, but these are new. Due to one of the header pipe heat shields coming loose/broken I bought a whole new set of pipes and mufflers-attached by Johney member STAR Chapter 230.
Front brake fluid reservoir cover in chrome.
Chrome engine guards. These are not new, but have been a major factor in keeping the Road Star from sustaining any major damage.
